Let These Wings Grow.

Winter has come for my heart,
I don’t know if I can carry on,
The hole you leave in my life,
Will never truly be gone.

How long until spring will break,
And the sun will warm my face,
For the cold days linger here,
At a never moving pace.

In my heart I know I have to let go,
I have to grasp onto the peace inside,
I will let these wings grow and do my best,
For Never again will I cower and hide.

Spring brings the new adventures,
The winds bring a whole new test,
I let my heart heal and spread my wings,
As I fly from the east to the west.

Never again will your bitter ways,
Haunt my life in those icy dreams,
For with winter gone and spring to stay,
Finally I’m at harmony it seems.

In my heart I know I have to let go,
I have to grasp onto the peace inside,
I will let these wings grow and do my best,
For Never again will I cower and hide.
