A Withered Rose

Heart as cold as ice
Eyes dark as night
Petals falling to the ground
A darker shade of white

Brightly colored flowers
Next to me a withered rose
A loving family and their friends
To me, who sits alone

Paw prints stuck into the ground
Stumble though in fright
Petals falling to the ground
A darker shade of white

Dark hair astray into the night
Her hands are yours to hold
The red has blossomed, steadily buds
What a love so strong and bold

Leaning toward the shady side
A little under what is right
Petals falling to the ground
A darker shade of white

Far off in the distance
You can hear her scream
Shes on her way down
Praying it's a dream

What a beautiful life
Oh your heart so contrite
Petals falling to the ground
A darker shade of white

Budding red roses
Dew upon a leave
Next to the grave
To which so many greave

Dont lose faith yet
The end is near in sight
Petals falling to the ground
A darker shade of white

You never seemed to learn enough
Little lady, all full grown
Oh pretty, withered, dying rose
What is it like to die alone

Your heart is still and cold as ice
Your last and final plan of attack
Ashes to spread all around
A deeper shade of black
