In The Same Way

her flaws go unnoticed, uncharted, unbothered

in the same kind of way that i never say your name

i'm sitting here, a little lonely,

contemplating my emtpy cup of tea

and what the definition of disappointment is

i cannot ask enough questions to recieve the right answer

we all seem to understand the same thing:

there will never be a right or a wrong

just a now and a then.

she's the kind of girl they all want to meet

i'm sorry, honey, darling, baby,

they they all count in exactly the same way

i don't think we'll ever see the day.

she's all those 'r's put together

in a mixture of skin cells and dead hair:

ready, rambunctous, replacement.

i never thought a time like this would come.

"i'm all you'll ever need,"

i watch as she whispers in your ear,

three seats away,

that's debatable, i think in my head.

i never say anything out loud.
