Snow Covered Lashes

The snow fell
Landing softly on her shoulders.
She stood there
Silently waiting, wishing
For him to meet her,
To see how beautiful she was.
Off in the distance she saw him,
A lone figure coming ever closer.
He stopped just short of her and smiled.
The look in his eyes said it all;
Your beautiful, I want you, stay with me.
He wrapped her in his arms,
Gently brushing her cheek.
She looked up, hoping for something more.
He saw how her eyes sparkled
Under snow covered lashes
And knew
Exactly what he wanted to do.
He cupped her face in his hand
And softly kissed her lips.
Three days later,
He was stolen away,
Taking a plane ride far away.
Halfway across the land
On a distant shore he did step.
Jersey, he came back to thee.
