The Black Parade

The day as dark as ever,
Yet nothing lasts forever.
The ground so cracked and dry
Upon it I still cry.

Everyone has broken hearts,
Left some behind in little parts
Like wings torn from salvation,
Bodies through this wasted nation.

You’re the lone one on this path,
No one loves for this tainted craft.
Nothing is meant forever to stay,
Life’s not as beautiful as they say.

We travel the world through black and white,
Yet still alone on this starry night.
Have you heard the news today?
The Parade is now here to stay.

Drown you may, love you might
Hopes and wishes, Dreams take flight
Well ask yourself what your heart holds true
The decision to follow; only it drew.

Maybe it’s hope you’ll meet him again
They play everything through passion and pain.
Certainly this time, it’s no masquerade
We’re already joining
The Black Parade.
