Four words, that would never erase

He never what he meant to her
She never thought he cared
And when he left the note that day
Her heart just wasn't prepared
For on that piece of paper
In his carefree writing he wrote
My heart you have always held
You are my castle and I the mote
I will always protect you
From my home in the sky
But since I cannot have you
I feel like I should die
I've always loved you
And I always will
But don't cry for me
I love you Jill.

And so he pierced his wrist
With the shining blade
As she rushed into his room
But it was to late
As his eyes slowly closed
He whispered a prayer
Placed a hand on her heart
And said I'll always be there
He closed his eyes
And took a deep breath
That would be his last

Through her tears she held him
And whispered I love you too
And pulled the blade
To her skinny wrist
She shuddered and pressed harder
Etching four words
That would never erase
And as the crimson blood
Poured out her wrist
She curled up close to him
And took one shallow breath
And in her wrist
She had writted with cuts
I love you Jake
And she always would

But now they are together
Hugging in the skies
Please do not cry for them
They died to save their lives.
