Your Dearest True Love

My Dearest Connor,

You use to tell me anything.
And now there is nothing.
I told you I loved you.
And you knew it wasn’t untrue.
You just thought it was in a different way.
So you said it back to me, everyday.
You owe me much more than the silence I receive.
But you’ll just sit here and let me grieve.
You don’t understand, and you don’t try to.
All you care about is her and you.
Well guess what, I’ll still be here,
When she leaves you with a tear.
I’ll help you through it, by your side,
All over again, and I’ll be your guide.
I’ve done it before; I’ll do it again, even if it does kill me.
And you now may not agree.
Your too stubborn, and have fallen to hard.
So see that you’ll just end up scarred.
So for now I’ll take it, because I know you’ll need me again.
And you friend I’ll remain.
But one day you will see that it’s only me who has truly got your back.
And with me, you’ll stay on track.
My dearest Connor you see, I will never let you read this.
And you will never even know it exists.

Love, Your Dearest True Love
