Hidden

The starry skies shine for her
They weep and they cry for her
She has no fear of the things they haunt
Tired, weary, her face is gaunt

The fallen angels will sing to her
They try so hard and they fight for her
She fell too far and now they can’t see
The way her cracked heart used to be

The whispers in the night howl for her
They slice through the dark, find a way for her
She held the hurt to long
Now it’s too hard for her too stand up and be strong

Because all that she held dear
Is no longer here
They all left her there
Lying in the dust, Life isn’t fair

That’s what they told her
When they held her to the night
A dark whisper of tragedy
A hint of delight

For everything she trusted, everything she felt
Everything she held, all that she could doubt
Everything they screamed to her
Everything she wept
Everything she saw, and everything she kept

A sad, sorrow, tragedy
A tale of unknown misery
A story of how things can be
And how there are things we don’t see
