One More Place

My mind wanders through endless skies,
over large fields of grass and flowers.
Over treetops and mountaintops
that peak above the white, fluffy clouds.
Over deep rivers
and deeper valleys.
Over the vast oceans
filled with mysterious and wondrous creatures
not yet understood.
Over Africa’s plains, deserts and savannahs.
Over America’s Rockies
and China’s crowed cities.
Through dark allies in Iraq and Iran,
between towering buildings in Tokyo.
There’s always another place to visit,
another rock to climb,
another river to swim,
another mile to walk,
and another day to live.
There’s always one more place to be.
