Seven

'Alone'

Alone at a table
Fit for six
She looks at her hands
She picks at her fingers
Alone at a table
Told to be quiet
She slowly goes insane
She slowly dies inside
Alone at a table
Am I.

'Outside'

I can see across the room
I can see out the window
I can see trees swaying
Dancing in the light breeze
It's a beautiful scene
That only I can see.

'Lined Paper'

Lined paper keeps you
In between the lines
Makes you neat and
Always so tidy
It tediously makes
My jumbled thoughts
Appear to be alive

'Jazz Band'

The jazzy beats
They rise up from the floor
I find my toe tapping
To distant music
That I swear I've heard before
Too bad those notes
Leave me on the third floor

'Smooth'

Music flows
Through my ears
Mixing in with
Thoughts all
Running wild
Through my
Misused head

'Laughter'

I swear I can
Hear the trees
Faintly laughing
And mocking me
As they congregate
Stand in circles
Just outside my reach.

'Lie To Me'

Glancing eyes
Take me off guard
Whispering secrets
I've already heard
Rumors and lies.
