And In Your Final Hour, I Hope You Remember Me

I'm walking into nothingness. Literally. All there is is the air surrounding me. I'm about to continue, but suddenly my world starts spinning round and round. A flash occurs and white halls plague my vision as the pendulum swings wildly in the distance. I try to scream for her, but not a sound escapes my crimson lips. Shadows being cast over me frantically move throughout the air around me, suffocating me. Sucking the life right out of me. Images of her dancing silhouette cloud my vision making it impossible to see a single thing as I am brought down to my knees. I can feel them all around me. I echo a real shriek of terror as tiny hands claw at my back. Pushing me toward the portal that's appeared in the center of the room. I protest, holding back. Images of you still floating in my head. I see us. See us talking, walking. See us holding hands at our spot by the lake. See you promise me. I struggle harder. Then I see us screaming, see you leaving. Time completely freezes. I begin to let go, knowing I am reaching the end anyway. I begin to slowly let go, but then I see our first kiss, replaying in my head. See that ring on my finger as clear as day. Hear you promise me. I break completely free as I hear you, saying those three forbidden words in the night. I open my eyes, the shapes are gone. And I'm laying right where I should be, by your side.
