fireworks

first,
a far thud,
then the rocket
climbus the air,
a dullred flare
to hung, a moment,
invisible , before
its shut black shell cracks
and claps again in the ears,
breaks and billows into bloom
spilling down clear green spanks, gold spanks
silentslding silver waterfalls and stars.
