Souls Entwined

Souls Entwined

The sunrise captures his love
that hides in the bushes and the reeds
the love is hurting with the body to match
man who cannot capture her for anything
woman who did not see his love
her regal position too oblivious to see
where peasants would cross, no one goes
to the dark light that hides the entrance
She steps carefully to find the path
the wild grass serpents around her ankles
defence mechanisms set up to hinder traitors
yet only the real love may cross to the gate
so far away yet so close
she cannot succeed her goal
he lies in the pastures
eyes closed softly and stained torso; bare
the summer breeze worships his body
with the butterfly kisses laid softly
on the lips that no one has touched
the night is dark, howling wind
with the devils and demons hiding in shadows
struggling with the pain and suffering on her face
her love radiates to clear the path ahead
retreating back from her love’s desire
the twines and vines have succumb to their weakness;
the true love for the man
who’s heart died many years ago
he feels the reeds hush and talk
whilst his state of euphoria tells a story
his story replays over and over again
something had changed and knew it, he didn’t
the erect body, proudly steps
over cowering warlocks and retreating servants
she floats on ait with no one to stop her
the gate slowly coming to her view
he is distressed from the sudden change
walking and pacing, waiting impatiently
for the one feeling to be fulfilled
a hole now filled with love
he felt it in his bones, his skin and hair
cracked and dark wood with battered features
the only thing that separated his love from hers
where deep souls fled from hurt and pain
he, the only body left
her, his one and true love in existence
his baby-soft skin that is stained with patterns
creamy and pale and ever so sensitive
voice of honey, so deep and dark
her; tall and regal, well dressed and desired
she could marry the most rich bachelor
yet her dying ache would not permit
she had to feel yet loved and precious
her knight in pale armour
his girl of poison with heartache every moment for him
the touch of her breath would unlock the door
and with him to see his one true love
they meet on the other side
with both desires fulfilled, hearts healed
joined as one, they would be together
away from the land of the hurt
and away from the loathing hands
that desired more than could touch
finally conjoined, hand in hand
lips with lips and soul in soul
with his bare skin to see
and hers hidden from view
they would soon be the same
when life would not matter
only love and being together
forever together, souls entwined.
