nothing there.

There are no leaves on my tree today.
They've all fallen off,
Drifted down,
To the ground,
With out a final word or whisper,
They've just accepted that they were gone.

My sun is going down now,
Leaving my world to go light up another's.
Slowly,
It hides behind the horizon,
Though I do hear it whisper,
Its final words,
"Good night."

My waves have stopped coming to see me.
They've stopped coming on by,
Shouting their hellos
As they slapped the ground.
Then,
A moment later,
They run off,
Leaving as quick as they came,
Though,
Now,
They don't say anything.

The beach is silent,
My day is dark,
My world has fallen,
There is nothing left to live for.
I look through my window,
In search for the silver lining,
I press my ear against the cold glass,
But there is nothing there.
