Picture Perfect

I want a camera
So I can capture
This perfect moment
What is this moment you ask?
I’ll try my best
To explain it

I’m with her
On that same park bench,
Where we had that first kiss
That soft, shy, light peck
That burned itself onto my lips
We’re there again
To celebrate how long
We’ve been happily together
The light breeze blows by
The pink petals blow off the tree
Past us, past her, past me
She looks as though she’s glowing
Just behind that cherry blossom tree,
Is a beautiful sunset
But not so beautiful as to compare
To the beauty of her face,
Her lips, her cheeks, her hair,
Her eyes. Those eyes.
Those same eyes
That I’ve spent so long staring into
Those eyes, that shine more brightly
Than a million supernovas
That twinkle with an acute intellect
That accurately search every detail
When I gaze into those eyes,
I never want to look away
They entrance me so
I lose myself in those deep pools
I’ve gotten lost in those eyes
And I’ll never be found
Nor do I ever want to be
