Hope's Spark

Brushing softly, against one's
Thirst for the truth
Do not laugh at dusk
Do bring tea if you must

Time has flown, across my heel
I don't know if my God is real
Figuring out what to say
Know too well what not to be

Singing sweetly, against
Religion that can't define
Shades of introspection in man's spine
Be not glad before nightfall
Do bring water if you can at all

I found hope's spark in your eyes
I found a slip of truth within their lies
I can't keep holding on to a false remainder
And she will wish to wash the blood that stained her

Cry out softly, as the knife digs in your
Thigh, and
Hurt deeply, for it's the one thing
They can't take away
