    Mr W. H.
You may be right, but I'm unaware. Plus I actually wrote this article as a school assignment and I was writing on Dali. There was supposed to be some contradictory in the article hence the reason I said that.

''In the history of art, most people could easily argue that Salvador DalĂ is the father of surrealistic art.''
Actually, surrealism started out as a literary movement whose main founder and leader was the writer and art theorist André Breton. Dali started to produce surrealist works almost ten years after the publication of Breton's 'Surrealist Manifesto'.

This was really interesting to read, especially as we've just begun our Surrealism topic in art.

I have to say, I understand why people love him, but I'm not much of a fan of his work.
