The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: A Novella - Comments

  • THe Short Second Life Of Bree Tanner was absolutely pointless. It, to me was also dragged out. IT may have been better had it not been poured over 1 hundred and something pages, but instead been a short story about Bree's life before and after becoming an vampire. Stephenie Meyer dissapointed me.

  • I just wanted to say I think I figured out why she chose Bree, aside from the obvious reasons.
I was reading an interview she did and they asked her about Midnight Sun (Twilight from Edward's point of view) and she said she was probably going to shelve it because Edward was in Twilight so much that we wouldn't really gain any insight from his story. But she cited Orson Scott Card's "Ender's Game" and said he did the same with a very minor character and that way, readers learned whole bits of information they wouldn't have otherwise known. I think that's what she was going for here with Bree Tanner.

  • I managed to read this book in a couple of hours, and must admit i was a little bit disappointed. I expected it ot be more of a story of her life before being a vampire, not her as a vampire wandering around and figuring out what we already knew was going to happen in Eclipse. Bit of a let down. I got a free book for pre ordering it, though, and that was awesome. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead, i think.

  • I completely agree with everything you've said, haha. It could have been so much shorter, and so much more interesting. We barely leanrt anything about Bree, which was the whole point of the book! The thing with Diego made me roll my eyes, that romance was completely unnecessary.

  • I saw my friend reading it today and I asked her if it was good. She said it was, but she wouldn't let me look at it, lol. I think I'll get it and if I don't like it then oh well.

  • I read part of it online and I have to say that it was even more boring that all of the other Twilight related books. I think Stephanie Meyer is just whoring out her "vampires" for the money now. It doesn't seem like she even tried in this book. I wouldn't waste money on it.

  • I just finished reading this book. Online of course not paying money for it just yet. i've gotta say i loved it. Not as good as Twilight or The Host. But it give a lot of background into the story and provided me with new characters to love. Go Team Fred

  • Oh good lord, she's dragging out 'Twilight' even more?
Wasn't the original series enough? I mean it started this whole vampire craze that everyone's so caught up in.
    Enough damage done.
