That was cute. And the entire time I was reading, I had The Cure playing in my head.
I feel smart because I figured out that the main character was Mr. Frankie-

Oh my god, I am completley floored. The whole thing worked so well - the run on sentences, Frank's overall apathetic mood, Mikey's fragile nature.
