Aw, what a cute one-shot! I like how you explained what happened and how Ian refused to leave Alex’s side, even after finding out. I think it showed a very deep amount of loyalty and love in Ian’s character because not a lot of 19-year-olds would be okay with finding out that they’re going to be a father. The whole ‘painting the nursery’ thing was adorable! It made Ian even more likable. And when Alex yelled at Ian during the labor scene, I laughed.

I do wish you would have spread the timeline out a bit more and provided more detail. It felt really rushed both because you summed up about a nine-month long timeline in 1.5k words, and there wasn’t much detail. I would have really liked to have connected with Ian and Alex more. Maybe you could have included some moments in the pregnancy, like Ian dealing with Alex’s wild cravings and whatnot? There was a lot of potential to create something cute and funny rather than summing it all up.

The final line was really cute though. So overall, this was adorable so good job.
