Wow, I really enjoyed reading this. Norma is my mom's name xD
But enough about that, I really like how you made this story so simple yet so descriptive.
Really, I mean, losing a parent in a car crash is a tragic thing, I myself lost my best friend to a motorcycle crash (whatever you might call it) and it wasn't easy, thus, my fear of motorcycles now. But I'm sure in time, I think I'll get over my fear and move on.
Just like Norma did.
