    Fuck, I absolutely loved that.
It seemed like it should have been set in the fifties or something- that's what it reminded me of. Like back when homosexuality in general was actually illegal. It's really sad that shame has the same basic effect on this couple as the law would have had on other couples in the past.
I really liked the way you talked about things that are so reassuring within this but it's all really just sad. It reminded of that saying, like how everything is calmer in the eye of the hurricane, or something like that. All this shit is going on around them, but they're still happy. They get that thier love is not something to be ashamed of, but it's just chaos around them.

Beautiful. I’ve never been so sure of anything in my life. We’re too young. It’s almost a strangling feeling, invisible hands on my throat, squeezing.
You captured their... in love-ness perfectly. Really, Dru, I hope you know how incredibly talented you are.

Oh my God Dru...that made me want to cry.I've been thinking about the spilt to much lately.

Our hands drop and it suddenly seems a lot colder outside.

    :(

There was so much detail and I really loved it. <3

i love this. it's subtle. it doesn't spell things out. it's so sharp and economical it's almost a poem.

i like that this line - I’ve never been so sure of anything in my life - changes the direction of the piece, allows the reader to slip deeper within the scene, to view things from beneath the surface. i like that the next line - We’re too young - doesn't obviously continue the same thought (although in some ways it does).

    very beautiful snapshot.
