I liked the variations between flashbacks and present time - different, and you pulled it off well :) It was different to see the hook up in a flashback rather than it coming through with the story and not looking back on it.

And the ending was great; he couldn't get Juliet out of his mind, even though he had his girlfriend right there.

I have to agree with the comment above - it was amazing. You have a good chance with this :)
Oh, and I almost forgot - I liked that it was in Alex's point of view :) You don't see that much in het stories. :3
