I just read this and it's good but there's some minor issues. In the last five or so (more or less) chapters you stopped mentioning her son so it's like he doesnt exist and his being is sort of randon and unnecessary and in the last chapter you posted they all overreacted way too much in an unrealistic way... Like They are all adults, if an adult doesn't make an appearance for a few hours it's nothing to worry about, if he were missing for a day or until they were about to leave it would make more sense. But the way it was written I didn't get the feeling that they were about to leave. I'm not saying this to be mean and I hope you don't take it offensively, I'm just trying to give you some constructive criticism. :)
