This a great introduction.

I love the style and the wording, and how careless yet emotion Jac seems. I've never read a Shane story, I usually stick to Daryl to be honest. :) But I like how this started. I've not spotted any grammar mistakes, there are probably more in my comment then in your entire chapter. :)
