I read this entire thing super late at night last night, but I took my time until maybe midway then started skipping to the action. I missed your writing and went on the hunt for something new to read, rather than re-reading the ones I've already re-read tons of times. I was in an Avenged mood. I am amazed, though not particularly surprised, that you have written so much in the last few years. I haven't been on the site much, so I couldn't be sure. It was really hard for me to picture the actress above as Aviva/Mae, the social worker. She has such a gangster look about her. A little hard to picture Matt as a detective too, but we can just keep his glasses on and throw on a trench coat. What else... I totally caught on that the perp was Alex. I was still gobsmacked when I found out he was Dave's son though. Except for inheriting his psychosis, I don't see how he could have just photocopied his dad's personality and harassed Aviva like that. With the kidnaps and the rapes and murders. I was a little confused on why he wasn't taken to court and trial like Dave was.
