Good for Maggie for finally "unburdening" herself and letting Sid in on all that she had been through. For any relationship to succeed, there must be honesty and I think Maggie finally felt enough trust in Sid, that she felt she could really let him in. That to me is true intimacy - breaking down the emotional walls, allowing someone to see you, warts and all.

It must have been incredibly difficult for Sid to hear, but I think it is vital if he is going to fully understand Maggie - who she is and why she reacts to situations the way she does. From this cornerstone of knowledge they can work together to build a solid, trusting and nurturing partnership.
