i almost cryed when i read it. i feel sorry for maxine i know what she is going through and it sucks. story is great read. i dont like the fact that its true. i hate when men beat women.

This is amazing,, i am so sorry for whoever these events happened to, if it is you then you are so strong to survive through this and to have the courage to tell your story, writing is a great outlet isn't it? Anyway your writing style is lovely, very fluid and easy to read but not in a basic way, i am rather enthralled in this story, so please update soon, but then i also hope you don't purely because these are true events, and an update means something has happened, hopefully something good though if you do update. Stay strong, either for you, or the person this has happened to.

Im sorry if I sound like a cynic but I doubt he is changed. He possibly figured she would at least try and save him, if not he`d die, if he didnt then she`s him. I can hope he changed but that is rarely the truth. I wonder if he did...

No one ever deserves to suffer from an abusive partner. The victim is being confused by the different signals she is being sent, both from her abuser and the people trying to help her and she/he is usually a kind soul that just wants to help the person they love. The abuser is often an emotionally scarred being with some controlling aspects. I, myself, have never been in any abusive relationships but I have known a lot of people who have so I understand for the most part why they cant leave. The bad moments are REALLY bad but then there are always the good moments and they feel if they leave for the bad parts how can they ever enjoy the good ones. I really like your story and I feel for whom ever it is about. I hope you feel like updating more soon. (:
