I can't find the right words to describe how amazing I think this is. You described so well the complexity of a relationship like this and you portrayed the feelings and self-destructive thoughts in such a great way, without it being cliché or repetitive. I agree with the previous comment, you should make it a full lenght story, and explain how they got to this point of the relationship. Though it would be nice that it had a happy ending, I'm a sucker for them :)

You could do so many things with this. It could make a wonderful full length story. Really, truly, you should consider adding more to this.
