  • Thanks Ghostie. You're completely right. I don't want it to be like ever other zombie book. I just knew I wanted a virus as the cause go future scenarios. Starting with the plot is a good idea.

  • This seems kind of generic. I know this is based off of just the first chapter, but if you want to draw in readers and keep them, the first chapter is what helps the most with that. It helps readers to initially decide whether to stay or leave.
I really can not tell if this will be a good story or not because it starts like most 'zombie' or 'apocalyptic' stories. The only thing you give us is a summary. The start of a virus breaks out, things go wrong, it is the fight for survival.
If you want to make this story stand out, I recommend not giving us a summary of what has caused this disastrous epidemic in the first chapter, and instead focus on the actual plot to show that this story is different and original.
    Just some thoughts.

  • I'm not usually one for zombies, BUT your story has a really well written beginning and I'm interested to read more. You picked a great title, too!
