It is good to see that they are happy, but I cant help but think Sid's lie is going to come back and bite him in the butt.
I get that they wanted to tell their parents first - and that they wanted a little time to enjoy the "honeymoon" - but I really think it was naïve of them to think that they could go down to City Hall in Pittsburgh and not have anyone tweet about it. In this day of immediate social media, Sidney would not be able to keep something like his wedding underwraps for any length of time. Hell, even Jess and James' fight was caught on camera!
Good for Sid to let Jess know that he wants her back - and fully back! Making the romantic gesture is so sweet.
And if having a quicky wedding is what they both want, the go for it. Although I can imagine that they will get a fair amount of backlash from their immediate family. I know I would get killed if I did a jp wedding without my parents being there.
But to have James and Sarah as witnesses. Boy they are way more evolved than I could ever be. I am on good terms with my ex, but having him be there to stand up for me at my wedding - yeah....not happening.
While I was disappointed in Jess - that she didn't fight for her and Sid initially - I do think she made the best of a bad situation. After the kissing James incident, therapy was a smart step for Jess. She realized that she had issues that she needed to deal with before she could truly commit to a life-long relationship. Jumping from one relationship straight into another is never advisable, and with all the additional stuff that Jess had been through, well, she just wasn't in the frame of mind to be the girl Sid needed her to be. The girl she wanted to be for Sid!
I did think it was strange, however, that she wasn't missing Sid more. But I was glad that Taylor intervened a bit - I just hope Jess is smart enough to fight for her relationship this time.
First sneaking (yes, she definitely snuck) out of the house to meet James. Even if Sid was busy, at least leave a note!
Then you KISS JAMES???!!! And HE stopped it?? Are you kidding me? Look down to your left hand. You are committed to another man - one who loves you completely and has been nothing but patient with you through EVERYTHING.
But then you LIE about where you were. Boy, to me that is three strikes and Sid is no dummy.
If you have to lie and sneak around, you know what you are doing is wrong. If you really needed to talk to James, you should have been able to tell your Fiance.
