Um, yeah, classy, jeff! Proposing with your dick still inside her! I hope you leave that detail out when telling the story to friends and family. Esp. any children you may have (however they come to you).

I have a hard time with this sort of thing in these stories because I just think, wow, you guys can adopt or if you want a child of your DNA (I can't blame them for that, I have my own after all), you can hire a surrogate. Julie could even have her own eggs harvested. It can cost around $50K or so but that's seriously a drop in the bucket compared to the kind of bank that Jeff Carter is pulling down right now. Even with all of the taxes and stuff that he undoubtedly pays, that's like half a week's income for him. Yes, it can absolutely be devastating to be told you can't bear your own children but she has time and he's got money. It's seriously short-sighted of her to make that the breaking point of their relationship.

NO NO NO wait YES YES YES!!!! Woohoo!!!!!

I didn't think Jeff could melt your hear anymore but then he goes and proves you wrong how friggen sweet he is with the ornament for the baby, a very touching moment and a great way to honour Baby Carter who was spoiled with love while still in Mommy tummy :) just an awe moment when they put that ornament on the tree! And I really hope a baby is in the near future for both couples maybe around the same time a few weeks to a couple months in difference :) haha love it <3 cannot wait for more!!!!!

I feel for those WAGs that have babies in the middle of playoffs. I would totally plan for the most ideal due date if I were a hockey wife....and this is coming from the lady who both of my kids were unplanned.

I've always loved the thought Jeff put into getting that ornament to share with Julie. It's very touching.

The baby ornament was just precious. The baby planning on Sarah's part is hilarious.

I love the ornament for the baby. That's a wonderful way to celebrate their baby's life that will never be. Choosing ways to remember and celebrate a lost loved one are good for coming to grips with the loss.

Ha! The fear of Sarah re: mini Mikes and Sarahs! And yeah, if I was a hockey wife, I'd totally want to schedule the conception of a child to allow much summer help with a newborn.

Also, I still love that Carcillo taught her how to throw a punch and she doesn't pull them (when Sarah punches Jeff, that is). Aaaaaawesome!

First trimester miscarriages are very common but still painful. Losing a child is a huge blow no matter when but especially when you're blind-sided and nobody did anything wrong. I know I never felt even partially out of the woods until I had a healthy baby in my arms.

Jeff, don't push big decisions on Julie when she's in mourning, it can backfire on ya.

NO, NO, NO!!!!!!!! I am so incredibly sad for Jeff and Julie. I have total faith that you ladies will see Jeff and Julie through this rocky part. Amazing writing! I did cry while reading this chapter.

Well fuck I was ecstatic about this baby and you just ripped it from me..... Sadness falls upon me. I wanted that baby..

I'm literally going to cry this so sad, I can even imagine that happening it is so heart breaking and I really hope Julie don't push Jeff away, he will be her rock during all of this but they need to good hard cry together and I hope Jeff can convince her that he would marry her no matter what. Love it <3
