i just ran across this story. i like it and hope that you update again real soon!

You've gotta love the short attention span kids have, at least until they're around 5 when everything you say is met by 'why?'.

Z is taking to this whole dad thing far better than I expected, and I just hope he doesn't end up disappointed when things aren't always this smooth. I'm also loving the slight awkwardness between he and Ri. You can tell that neither of them had a change in feelings despite their time apart, but jumping back into what they used to have isn't going to work now that Aiden is in the picture.

I'm thinking Aiden needs to go spend the night with Uncle Matt and Aunt Val so Z and Ri can have some time alone without worrying about Aiden barging in or seeing something he shouldn't. Maybe a date, maybe just hanging out and catching up.

This is so cute! I feel like everyone is taking this too well, and I hope drama isn't right around the corner. It's nice to read something happy, ya know? The way you write Aiden reminds me of my nephew when he was that age.
