Cold Hands and a Warmed Heart - Comments

  • I’m here as the new judge for the ‘Drabble Contest’.

This sets such a lonely and cold atmosphere right from the start, and as the scene continues, I thought it was going to warm up and be okay but NOPE. Not at all. I’m not sure what happened to Annie at all, but it punched me in the face when I realized that it wasn’t actually happening. When it came to a startling halt, I imagined like… warmth; vibrant and comforting colors, then snapping to this dreary and gray scene when the narrator’s eyes open. I love how you chose to manipulate both the narrator’s feelings and the readers’ feelings because there was a moment of pure love. It actually was so heartbreaking when it came crashing back down.

Very fantastically written, I loved it.
