This was such an interesting prologue to read! Getting into the mind of a sociopath is something that I've never really read, especially done well, and you did it really well. The fact that he left eight bodies behind, the beginning with you describing him dissecting animals when others were buying them from pet stores.
Your imagery was something else I loved. How powerful he felt holding his gun, and the last paragraph too. God, it was definitely a powerful read.
I did spot a few mistakes that kind of pulled me out of the story, though. Most were toward the beginning, so I'd recommend doing a quick check. Other than that, this was really amazing! The pacing was good and I found myself really immersed. Great job!
