Awww the ending was sad. Though I kinda had a suspicion all along that she wasn't going to make it. Either they were going to inject her or she would get killed.

I FINALLY started reading this story today. I love that you write original stories, because while fan fic can be fun, it does get a little cliche and repetitive sometimes unless it's written by someone who can add their own little twist on things..

Anyway,

the conversation between Devin and Amanda sounds and runs extremely naturally (then again, you've always been great at doing that ;)). I also like the concept of the story. It's interesting when you included the part about war and chaos becoming like an everyday occurence you see on the news since that's what it's kind of like nowadays with the war in Iraq. When you write about something that hits kind of close to home, like, "Oh shit, this kind of thing could actually happen" (except for the levitating people, lol). That part was a little bit left field. :lol:

But yeah.. it's the kinds of things that could actually happen that really scare people and it really makes you think. That's what I like most about this story. :)

The ending to that chapter was killer. Except maybe someone would think that people levitating isn't really the picture of normalicy? Just maybe, =P

How can you only think that maybe things aren't quite normal if you see people levitating?? I feel it's an understatement =D Hee hee.

And awesome update :D out of this world. But ..levitating people? It totally reminds me of the Happening, where the dead people are floating in the air. That's just creepy.
