Behind The Computer

I opened the front door and walked inside.

“Mom, I’m home…” I yelled as I closed the door with my back foot.

“I’m back here!” yelled a voice.

I untied my shoes and slipped them off in the shoe rack and replied back, “Where are you?”

“In the washhouse!” the voice replied.

I walked towards the washhouse curiously. “Oh there you are…” I laughed.

Mom laughed.
“So, how was school today?” Mom said putting in the last load of washing.

“Boring….”

“I thought you loved school?” Mom said giving me a weird look.

“That was in Primary.”

“You’re growing up so fast!”

“Yeah well that was back then; I’m in High School now.”

“Need some help with anything?” I said trying to change the subject.
I didn’t want to tell her that I dumped my boyfriend.
You know how Mother’s can be when something happens like that.

“You can help me hang these clothes out when it’s finished.”

“Sure, I’m just gonna’ go on the Internet to check my emails.”

“Okay, I’ll call you in when it’s finished!”

“Okay Mom!” I yelled back while walking in my room.

I quickly turned on my computer and logged onto Live Journal. Yay.

Something popped on my screen,
It read:

You have two new messages from: Brendon Urie

Who the hell is Brendon Urie? I thought while clicking on the first message.

Hi, I’m Brendon.
I’m just a stranger but I’ve been reading your stories on your blog.
They’re pretty awesome.
Hit me back!

“At least someone reads them.” I said to myself.
I clicked back and clicked on the second message that he had sent.
And it read:

Oh and when are you going to finish chapter nine?
I’ve been waiting for you to write it for ages!
It’s so interesting!!
Just for some encouragement, keep up the good work!
Bye, Brendon.

I clicked reply and wrote back:

Hey Brendon, I’m Kate.
Nice to meet you.
I’m so glad that you’ve found interest in my stories.
Hardly anyone reads them. So thanks.
I’ll start on it as soon as possible. Sorry for the wait…

I clicked send and the page refreshed on his profile.
