I Want To Scream 'I Love You'

Saturday

*Cassidy's POV*
I woke up to an empty, quiet house. Too quiet. Everyone was at school, except me. I didn't mind, I got to have a lie-in. I padded down the stairs, grabbed some breakfast and watched TV for a bit. Two hours left until they all come back. Oh God. I made my way up the stairs and went into Patrick's room. I grabbed his acoustic guitar and sat on the end of his bed playing a Fall Out Boy song.
Saturday.
It was my favorite song of theirs. I started playing and began to sing along.

I'm good to go
And I'm going nowhere fast
It could be worse
It could be taking you there with me
I'm good to go
But it looks like I'm still on my own

I'm good to go
For something golden
Though the motions I've been going through have failed
And I'm coasting on potential towards a wall
At a 100 miles an hour

When I say
Two more weeks
My foot is in the door
I can't sleep
In the wake of Saturday
Saturday
When these open doors were open-ended
Saturday
When these open doors were open-ended

Pete and I said goodbye to Astoria
with promise and precision and mess of youthful innocence
And I read about the afterlife
But I never really lived more than an hour

When I say
Two more weeks
My foot is in the door
I can't sleep
In the wake of Saturday
Saturday
When these open doors were open-ended
Saturday
When these open doors were open-ended

And I read about the afterlife
But I never really lived
And I read about the afterlife
But I never really lived

Two more weeks
My foot is in the door
Me and Pete
In the wake of Saturday
Saturday
When these open doors were open-ended
Saturday
When these open doors were open-ended
Saturday
Saturday

"Wow, I really could listen to you sing forever." Pete smiled in the doorway.
"What are you doing here?" I grinned, hugging him.
"I figured you might be lonely and well I didn't feel like going to my last two lessons, so here I am."
"Yay!"
"You know, your voice is so incredible. You and Patrick actually have the voices of angels." He laughed, making me blush.
"So, what do you want to do?" I asked.
"Uh I actually need to write some lyrics for Patrick, you can help me if you want." He grinned. A smile spread across my face. I loved writing lyrics with Pete, we always made up silly little songs about random things.

"Hey Cass, we're home." Patrick called, walking up the stairs. Shit, me and Pete had been writing for two hours. It felt more like ten minutes.
"In here 'Trick." I yelled.
"What are you two doing?" He asked curiously.
"Look." Pete said, shoving the notebook in his face. Patrick scanned it quickly and a smile crept across his face.
"These are really good. I mean, really good."
"Listen to it. It's not perfect but I'm sure you'll fix it." Pete grinned passing me the guitar. We'd only come up with something about half an hour ago so it was far from perfect but I began to play anyway.
Once I'd finished Patrick had a big grin on his face.
"That was actually pretty amazing for something you two just came up with."
