I forced a smile onto my face.
"Oh... Awesome. Yeah, go for it."
"You don't mind?"
Of the fuck course I do!
"No way, Bren. Whatever makes you happy...Hey, I'm, uh, gonna go make some Ramen, yeah?"
"Kay?"
"Want some?"
"Sure."
I rolled out of my bunk, onto the floor, and barely stumbled up to my feet as I felt a tear slide down my cheek.
I was boiling water in the microwave when I heard Spence. "Ry?"
I stiffened. "Yeah?" I still faced away from him.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah, sure. Why wouldn't I be?"
"Ryan... Look at me."
I peered into the microwave, running my hands over my face to wipe away the tear tracks.
"Ryan?" I felt his hand rest on my hips gently.
I rested my head back on his shoulder.
"You're not okay," he whispered.
"I'm fine. Tired."
"Ryan-"
"I am FINE, Spencer."
He sighed. "Love you, Ryro."
"Love you too, Spencey."
He slowly let go, and walked away.
The noodles finished, and I brought back two mugs, one for Brendon and one for me.
I sat in my bunk silently as he squealed, grabbing the cup and kissing my cheek. "You're the best!"
I smiled shallowly, letting the happy facade fall after a minute.
Brendon ran a hand over my cheek. "Are you okay?"
I nodded.
He looked at me closer and gasped. "Don't tell me you're crying!"
