Please Tell Me What We Have Is Real

Pulling away from Papa Gates and Suzy's house, I felt the nerves of everything getting to me. For starters, I had never really told Brian that the idea of children scare me. Literally scare me. I was excited to be getting me married yes, but having a baby, not so much. Can't change it now.At least they were excited. a few more to go.

"You ready baby?" Brian asked, breaking me out of my thoughts. No.

Offering him a small smile,"Yeah let's get this over with, we still have to tell the rest of them." True, we were having the bar-b-que right now and Brian insisted that I at least needed to let my parent's know. That was a conversation I wasn't looking forward to.Walking back into our house, I noticed everyone was already here and trashing the place. Well Jimmy and Johnny were, just what I needed.

"Hey guys. How did you get in here?" As I asked the question all eyes went to Brian. Didn't he learn from past experiences not to give them a key?

"Not that it matters but why are we here?" Lacey asked, I could here the sarcasm dripping off her words. You see, lately Lacey has been really standoffish towards us, and no one can understand why. Bitch.

"Well, we have some news that we thought we would grace you with."

"And that would Bowie?" See Jimmy always taunted me for liking David Bowie, thus my nickname from him.

"Well slim Jim, Brian and I are engaged..." I trailed off waiting for Brian to finish.

"And Chloe found out she's pregnant, so that's why." When he finished I heard squeals and finally's followed by hugs and everything else.At least they're happy.We sat around talking about the baby and wedding issues and what not, we were having a great time. Thai is until Lacey made the comment," I don't know why your still with him, I mean weren't you guys trying to break up or something." Which made all of us girls choke on our drinks. What has gotten into her?

"No we were not. We had a fight but everything is fine. Why do you want to know?" I was getting angry now, damn hormones.

"Well now your going to be stuck with him, I just don't see how you can stand to be with him." Just as I was bout to retaliate with something, Leana cut me off, "They love eachother Lacey, they've been together longer than any of us besides Val, what she decides to do is completly up to her. At least show some respect and let it go." I mouthed "thank you" to her, which she nodded her head. We were broke out of our argument by Brian calling me over. Thank God.

Pulling me onto his lap he asked, "Hey baby, you okay? You look really upset." Oh, if only he knew.As I was going to say nothing, Lacey and Johnny announced they were leaving. Perfect.

"Lacey made a comment about why am I still with you. And that now I'm stuck with you because I'm pregnant." I could feel him tense and the anger roll over him, I knew this was coming.

"Why the fuck would she say that? What is her deal." After carefully explaining to him that I told her that I loved him and Leana's comment, I kissed him quickly to reassure him.

"Hey, you guys, let's go eat." Typical Zacky. Just as we were heading into the kitchen, I heard Zacky's squeak,"what happened to my cake." Which caused Brian and I to start laughing.

"I was a little hungry this morning." This group never gets dull.

"Fine. but you owe me a new one." I love Zack.
