Small Painful World

I looked over at Nick and could see the shock on his face.
After a few seconds he finally said something. “MILEY” he
said confused. “Hey Nick” she said and walked right in and gave him
a more than friendly hug. He kind of pushed her away. “What are you
doing here
Miley” he said.“What your not glad to see me” she said. I had a pretty
good feeling
she didn’t know her and Nick were over. Frankie ran over to her and
gave her a big hug. “I have missed you Miley” he said looking
up at her
. “I have missed you more buddy” she said while tickling him.
She looks
up at me. “Hi you must be Heidi, I have heard a lot about you” she said.
“Oh all good things of course” she added. I just stood there
smiling but
behind that smile was hate. I mean this girl was all over Nick when sh
e new it was over and we were together. She has never been
able to ge
t over Nick and its been three years since they broke up.
All the sudden
Nick says “Miley can I talk to you for a minute”. He took her by the arm
and took her into another room. He slammed the door behind him. I
heard Joe say “OH great here comes the drama” but I
chose to ignore
him. “What are you doing here Miley” Nick said still trying to understand
why she was there. She looked into his eyes and started to run her fingers
down his chest. “I had to see you, I miss you Nick” she said getting a little to
close. He started to push her away. “Miley listen I love Heidi more than anything
and she is pregnant with my baby” he said getting angry. Miley just stood there
trying to take it all in and tears started running down her face. “What happened
to being pure till marriage” she said upset. Nick looked down at his ring and
took it off. “I know it’s the right thing to do and you should wait till marriage and
for your true love but Miley I have found my true love and its Heidi” he said sweetly.
He placed the ring in her hand. “ I think you need this more than I do and It will be
good for you, find someone who really loves you okay” he said. Miley wiped her
tears and took the ring. After a few minutes I was wondering what they were doing
in there. Then Miley came out, and came up to me. “He really loves you, I hope you
know that, don’t ever let him go” she said trying to hold back her tears. “Okay” I said
a little confused. Miley then said goodbye to the boys and left. I walked into the room
to see Nick watching Miley leave through the window. “Hey that was a little strange”
I said. He looked at me. “Ya know how lucky I am to have you Heidi” he said smiling
at me. “No. but I know how lucky I am to have you” I responded. He laughed. “I love
you so much” he said coming over and pulling me onto the bed.
