"Ladies in line" Elena demanded

"Mara are you ready?"

"No I feel like I'm gonna throw up" I stated

"Take a deep breath and drink some water" El said

"You okay now?"

I drank some water and took a deep breath "Yeah, I'm good" I said then El gave me a smile

"1, 2 and enter bride" El gave me one last smile and the doors opened

I looked around and everything was perfect the flowers the position of people the lighting the sound of the music and the atmosphere.

When we reached down the aisle Carlo's smile couldn't be any bigger. I smiled back. My veil was lifted my dad smiled and gave me a kiss on the cheek and stepped back. Carlos extended his hand to me and I took it and walked up the steps with him.

"Xiomara you are as perfect as perfect comes. Your smile personality and character is absolutely amazing and you have a pretty bad punch."

The room filled with laughter along with my own.

"You mean everything to me. If I ever lost you god for bid I wouldn't know what to do." Carlo's eyes got glassy and I couldn't help the tears that where forming. Water proof make up best thing ever.

"Your my everything and when I'm around you I can't help but to be happy. I love you Mara for ever and always" Carlos kissed my hand and I smile even with the tears falling. Lulu handed me a tissue, I thanked her and wiped my tears.

Carlos let go of my right hand and grabbed the ring and slowly slid it on" With this ring I thee wed" and then smiled

Carlos and I had gotten silver bands for each other we wanted something simple

"Code yellow" I heard from the communication devices of the security

Carlos and I looked at each other I raised an eyebrow

Code yellow means unidentified personal. There was about 14 guards inside the church with us and 16 outside. 4 of the guards slipped out the room.

I smiled and held tighter to Carlo's hand he squeezed back and I started " Carlos your the love of my life, your smile brightens mine. Even though your fashion sense is a little out there. Everyone started to laugh. When you hold me I feel safe. Your there when I need you and want you. You care more for me than yourself. With everyday our love grows. You love and understand me as I love and understand you. Your my everything. I love you forever and always." I smiled through the tears

I let go of his right hand grabbed the ring then said "With this ring I thee wed"

"If there's anyone who objects to this unity speak now or forever hold your peace" the father Juan said

" I now present to you Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Santiago"

Everyone walked out then Carlos pulled me towards him and kissed me again

I smiled back at him then we walked out and stood on the top of the church steps

We stood and let everyone take their pictures including paparazzi

We heard a gun shot and then we saw the guards take out their guns and start chasing someone.

"Carlos look out" John yelled but it was too late the bullet hit Carlo's stomach and he fell to the floor

"Carlos" I yelled and dropped down next to him. I grabbed his handkerchief and then used it to apply pressure to the wound. I was crying silently as I watch in horror

David ran to me and said "Mara they caught the guy and and ambulance is going to be here soon, it's going to be ok"

*30 seconds later*

"Senora Santiago can you please move"

I reluctantly moved and John wrapped me into a hug as I cried into his arms

"Xiomara" someone said

John let go of me and I grabbed the end of my dress and ran down the steps and into the ambulance

When I saw the tubes I cried harder and held onto Carlo's hand

"Mara" I heard Carlos say and held onto my hand harder and then moved the oxygen mask

"I'm here baby"

"I love you" he said and then stopped talking

* 2 hours later*

Carlo's and my family were sitting in the waiting room waiting for him to get out of surgery. I was crying so much that my eyes had to be blood shot. and my head was pounding

"Who's here for Carlos Santiago"

Everyone stood up but , Carlo's parents and I stood up and walked towards him

He looked around and raised an eyebrow

"You can speak freely doctor" I said and Carlo's parents nodded

"The surgery went wonderfully and should make a full recovery"

We all sighed and then I said "Thank you god"

"can we see him?" Luciano asked

"Yes, one at a time"

"Mara, sweet heart go ahead"

"Thank you" I said and followed the doctor

Carlos was laying up against the bed

"Mara" he said

"Hey" I said then kissed him

"Don't cry babe I'm fine see"

"I'm fine now that I've seen you"

"How long do I gotta stay here?"

"2 days tops"

"We'll leave just in time to still have our reservation"

"Yeah"

"We'll leave as soon as we can"

"Okay"

"I'm fine don't worry about it"

"They found the guy and gave him 5 years without probation"

"As long as he can't do anything to us now I'm okay"

"I love you too" I said then kissed him"

Everyone else came in and saw him then 2 days later was released

*2 days later*

"Wow France it's beautiful"

I laughed then pecked his lips

We spent 5 hours site seeing went out to eat then went back to the hotel. We showered and then I was about to change into pajamas when I looked over and saw Carlos on the with only boxers on then he said "I'm exhausted"

"Not too exhausted, I hope" then jumped on his and then one thing lead to another and yes we did make love that night. Lets just say it was a lot of fun
