You Don't Need Superpowers

Saige's POV

Okay, so I'm married now. Here's how it went down. It was all prety simple, really, and now it's time for the reception. Gustav and I didn't write our own vows, we decided that would make it too cheesy.

When Gustav said 'I do,' I started crying and choking up real bad. I could not stop crying. I sputtered out my 'i do's' and when they said to kiss the bride, I just got so emotional. I almost slapped myself, but then I didn't.

So here we are at the reception. I'm just looking around, saying hello, searching around madly for sharpies. Don't eat paste, kids. You'll end up like me.

"Presenting, the bride and groom, in their first dance as a married couple!" the DJ announced, and I gulped. I just hoped I wouldn't collapse. Then I looked over at the DJ. He wasn't there. My eyes widened and my mouth went agape. I stared disbelieving at the man who inspired my life. Gerard fucking Way.

I raised my eyebrows at Gustav. He shrugged his shoulders and looked at Bill. Bill smiled. "I couldn't resist." he said innocently.

"You're a dead man, Bill." I said, and we walked onto the dance floor.

"Hey, there pretty bride." I wanted to run off the dance floor when he spoke to me. I didn't know they could come and perform for weddings.

"Hmmphght" I choked on my words. I meant to say hi.

"I'll bet you thought you'd never meet me." I nodded, my face probably flushing red.

Then the song started up. My song. Disenchanted.

"I love you."

"I love you too." I answered, and I felt a pull on the skirt of my dress. It was Harry. I picked him up and Gustav and I held him in our arms. I rested my head on Harry's arm, and he rested his on my head. The song ended and everyone clapped. And then there was a dinging of glasses. Gustav looked at me, questioning. I just leaned in and kissed him. He seemed to get the idea after that.

Most of the time, I was talking with Gerard at the main table. It was super cool. I managed to keep my cool.

"I wrote a paper on you when I was in eighth grade." I said, sheepishly.

"Oh, really? Did you mention that I'm one hell of a kisser?"

"I wouldn't know, now would I?"

"Hola amigos!" Bob screamed, bouncing up to us, Mikey at his side.

"Um... hi?"

"Don't be embarrased, doll. It's natural to be loud. You came out screaming, din'cha?" Mikey asked me.

"Uh... I wouldn't know."

"Yeah, go be annoying somewhere else." Gerard agreed. I cought Bill's eye and motioned him over.

"What?" I hugged him.

"Thank you so much!" I said. He managed to push me off eventually. "You suck!" I said, sticking my tongue out at him.

"Sorry, I already used toilet paper," he laughed.

"Don't turn into your brother, now, okay? I don't want my Briakins pregnant." He rolled his eyes and trapsed off.

"Hey," Gustav's arms wrapped around my waist.

"You are one lucky man. This girl's pretty cool." Gerard said to him.

"Yeah, I know," Gustav joked. Just then, Kaitlin and Abi came running over to me. They're getting so big!

"Hey!" I said when they hugged me.

"I missed you when we moved to Maryland!"

"I missed you too! I told my mom to let me move there, but she wouldn't let me."

"You her cousins or something?" Gerard asked.

"Mhmm. Her favorites." I hugged them even tighter. Just then, Harry came over. People just flock to me like Bria's dogs.

"Hey, baby!" I siled at him, picking him up.

"Mommy! I wan' cake!" He said, hugging my neck.

"You have a kid? How old are you?" Gerard asked again.

"Yep! I'm nineteen. Harry here's three." I turned my attention to my son. "Baby, we didn't eat dinner yet. You can't have desert, mkay? Go to daddy now, hmm?" I handed him over to Gustav.

"Speaking of, when's dinner?" Kaitlin asked, as my eye caught someone I really didn't want to see. Not again. No. I want him to leave. How am I supposed to participate in Hakuna Matata if Skyler keeps showing up? I thought he was dead anyway. But, apparently not. I walked over to him, Gustav following me.

"When he leaves," I muttered to myself.

"Get out!" I said, pulling him out to the lobby.

"I wanted to see you. I see you kept Harry."

"Yeah, I did. You can't see him. You said you didn't want anything to do with him."

"Now I want to help raise my son."

"Too late. You had your chance. You blew it." I shoved him outside into the snow.

"Make sure he doesn't enter the Superior room." I said to he desk girl, giving her a twenty.
