Gerard Way loses his wife in an accident. He has to care for his three year old daughter, along the way having to find a way to explain to Peyton that her mum has died.

Peyton Laura Way inherits an ability to see the future and past, and to talk to spirits, from her father, and has to cope with the everyday trauma of talking to the dead, and the passing of her mother.
