Sequel: Eat My Heart Out

Skin and Bones

Wake Up

I wake slowly. My eyes open easily, but my body seems to be immobile. At least all my movements are lazy and only halfway in control. It’s like my brain doesn’t have full control of my body, and my brain is complete mush.

Nevertheless, I manage to turn my head and see Gerard’s wide open mouth right in front of me.
He’s yawning.
As his mouth slowly closes, I look up to meet his eyes as soon as they appear, but they never do.
I giggle.

“Morning,” I mumble, before I reach up and tug the blindfold up to cover his forehead instead.
His gorgeous eyes look down at me.

“Morning, babe,” he says confidently as a lazy, tired smile spreads on his lips and in his eyes.
I smile back.
“We forgot a condom,” Gerard says before he shifts around and tightens his hold on me. I snuggle into his chest. It smells incredible. His sweat has dried on his skin, leaving behind the most incredible scent I’ve ever experienced.

“I forgot to care,” I whisper back breathlessly. I’m holding off my exhale in order to let Gerard’s scent settle in me – somehow.

“Mom’ll get pissed if she finds out.” I snort a laugh.

“Then we just have to make sure she doesn’t.” I just have the time to get my entire sentence out before the door flies open and Mikey’s head pops in.

“Wake up, birthday bo-“ His loud yell stops abruptly when he opens his eyes and sees us. I hide my face in Gerard’s armpit – not the most oxygen-filled place, but the smell could never bother me.
“O-kay!” Mikey says in a weird tone I can’t quite explain other than a mix between confused and enlightened.
The door slams shut and I lift my head to face Gerard’s amused, yet scared, expression.

“I guess mom will find out.” I groan and drop my head back into the confines of Gerard’s armpit.
I feel Gerard move before his lips makes contact with my hair and stays there.
I really want to just hide in Gerard’s armpit forever, but soon – too fucking soon – I’m forced to reveal myself to the world and satisfy my demanding lungs.

“So, are you gonna fill up a condom or just…tell her the truth?” I’d kinda like him to do the first mentioned thing, but I’d hate to not fully appreciate it – and I don’t think I could right now.

“Probably just the latter, if she asks. Or simply just lie.” I nod – my cheek sliding against his big, strong shoulder.
“Come on,” he says and moves that annoying, bitchy shoulder. I groan.
“We better get up. I might be able to stop Mikey from telling my mom if we hurry.” I lift my head quickly. The world spins slightly, but it doesn’t keep me from swinging my legs over the side of the bed and rub my eyes.

A dull, yet sharp, pain escapes from my ass and I lean forward as much as I can. While my head is practically between my knees, I reach over and grab my boxers. I pull them over my feet, then stand up, letting the sheets slide away from my naked hips and be replaced by my underwear.

“Throw me mine?” Gerard asks from behind me. I reach down and get his, and while I’m down there also grab my t-shirt. I quickly throw his boxers over my shoulder, before I – even quicker – pull my t-shirt over my head.
I turn around and smile at Gerard, before I walk over to the bathroom.

After I’ve done my business, I run a hand into the back of my boxers and in between my cheeks. I can feel something dry around my hole and scratch some of it off in flakes.

When I look down at my hand, I worry. It’s mainly white, but there’re tiny bits of red in it as well.

I walk out of the bathroom to find Gerard stripping the bed from sheets. He glances over at me with a smile on his face, but he quickly turns his full attention to me.
I look down at my hand, then hold it up as I look him in the eye.

“I’ve been bleeding.” I don’t know what else to do or say. It’s a fact, but why; I don’t know. Is it normal to bleed?
Gerard drops the sheets and walks over to me. He reaches up and softly runs the back of his hand over my cheek, before he settles it under my jaw.

“I’m sorry. I should’ve been more careful.” So it’s not normal?
But it’s not his fault. After all, I was on top.

“No,” I say and shake my head. I look down at my hand. It’s really not that much.
My cheek has bled more.
“It’s nothing. I’m fine.” I look up into Gerard’s eyes and smile at him. When he doesn’t smile back, I tiptoe up and kiss his sweet lips tenderly.
Gerard kisses back.
And pulls back.

“Come on,” he says smiling, takes my hand and take us up the stairs and into the kitchen.
Mikey is sitting on the counter as Donna is by the stove.

“Good morning, birthday man,” Mikey says mockingly. Gerard punches Mikey’s arm, but I can tell he’s fighting the smirk that’s already evident on his face.
