The Beginning of Forever

I Got A Head Start

I woke to the sound of waves crashing against the shoreline. I looked up at Jacob, sleeping quietly. I turned over and reached to kiss him. His eyes fluttered open.

“This is what I want all of the time.”

“You already have it.” I kissed him again. Jake and I have been sleeping on the beach every Friday since the first official date. “Next week we might have to find a different spot.” It was the Saturday before Christmas and, to a normal person, it felt like it. School has been absolutely perfect. Life has been perfect. With the exception of our patrol and the weekly visits to Dad’s for Sunday night dinners.

“Why?”

“Because it’s already freezing. People are going to start thinking we’re crazy.”

“It’s not our fault we are warm every second of the day no matter what the climate is.”

“No, but we want to hide the fact that we are warm every second of the day. Sleeping on the beach in La Push, Washington, one of the coldest states in the United States at the end of December is not helping to hide who we actually are.”

“You’re no fun. This is our spot.”

“We’ll find a different spot. One for the winter. Or we could just stay at home.”

“Then what would we do on Fridays?”

“We will figure it out when the time comes. We could go to dinner.”

“With you and your fancy big money job you’ve got.”

“You should get a job, too. I’m sure I can talk Mr. Greene into hiring you.”

“We’ve always talked about this.”

“And you’ve always said no. But now I’m begging you. It would be so cool and romantic if we could go out at least once a month.” Jacob sighed.

“I suppose. If it’s what you want, you can ask your boss.”

“Good, because I’ve already asked him.”

“What?”

“I’ve already talked to Mr. Greene about getting you a job. And he said yes. I knew you would come around sometime.”

“You little cheat.”

“I didn’t cheat. I just got a head start.” I smiled.

“I love you.” He said. “You are the greatest thing in my life ever.”

“I should be.”

“What do you want for Christmas?”

“I have everything I want right here.” I wrapped myself around him. “Are you coming with me to Trevor’s party later?”

“I guess so.” He pulled my phone out of my pocket and checked the time. “We should probably get going. If we are going to go.”

“Yes we are going to go. But first, I’m craving Emily’s.”

“Alright.” I got up off of him and grabbed his hand to help him up.

“Are you getting old, baby?”

“Yeah. I might need to get a hearing aid sometime soon.”

“You of all people should know we’re not growing any older than we are now.” I’ve taken it as a good thing that I’m not getting older. It was only one step closer to staying with Jacob forever.

Of course, it kinda started where I left off with these two but it fastforwarded. Tell me what you guys think....PLEASE!!!!
