I'm marrying HIM an arranged marriage
I was sitting at my desk when my boss walked by. "Oh, Anna, I need to see you in my office. Please." he said, I nodded following him in.
"Am I in trouble Mr. Granger?" I asked. He laughed.
"Anna, you never get in trouble why do you always ask me that?" I smiled and looked down. "Well I actually need to ask you a favor." he said pausing. I looked at him waiting. He said nothing.
"What is it?" I ask curiously. He paused nervously. "It can't be that bad." He looked a little pained. "Can it? Come on Mr. Granger what is it?" I asked.
"Well..." He paused. "You know my partner, Mr. Tall?"
"I know of him." I said softly. "What do you want me to do?"
"Well it's not so much for me, but more for him..." I look at him curiously. He doesn't say anything.
"Well, what is it?" I asked bout to explode for curiosity.
"He wants his son to get married." he said softly. I arched a brow. "He wants me to find him the perfect wife." he finally said.
"Oh!" I exclaimed. "I get it you want me to find him a girlfriend, right?" I asked.
"No. I need to find him a wife..." he said and I cut him off.
"Well I can find someone for him what does he like?" I asked.
"No, no no, Anne, you don't understand. I already found someone." he said.
"Oh?" I said "Then what can I do?"
"Let me explain. Anne, Timothy wants someone kind, smart, beautiful, talented, loving and someone who works here, and I picked a woman I love as if she were my daughter." He looked at me.
"I don't get it. If you picked her where do I come in. Am I supposed to convince her?" I stopped suddenly seeing his look, my eyes widening as I realized what he was saying. "But I'm... I'm not.. I'm none of those things!" I cried blushing.
"Anne, I know you're hurt right now and it's killed your self-esteem but you are." he paused looking at me. "Will you do it?" he asked not really sure if he wanted me to say yes.
I thought for a while then I heard myself say.... "Yes, I'll do it Mr. Granger." He smiled a bittersweet smile and kissed my cheek.
