The Big Black Boots
All was quiet and then I heard the sound of a stair creaking. My heart started pounding, so bloody fast I thought it might burst right out of my chest. I listened for awhile. All I could hear was the sound of my rasping breath. I focused my attention on keeping my breathing normal - the sound of my heavy breathing might give me away.
So, I wrote this for my English essay.
It got a B+.
I was very happy cuz it took me ages to write, even though the allocated time was 1 & 1/2 hours!

I'm thinking of entering it into a writing competition, so constructive criticism is well appreciated.
