Let's Get Reckless.

Just Friends.

So it turns out, Camilla is also spending the night. Yeah, and that required all of Joe’s attention. Me and Nick ran back up the stairs when they were done and they joined us. He pulled her to his lap and hugged her close, kissing her neck and everything. It made me completely furious that he didn’t acknowledge me or Nick. Seriously, how rude is it to just make out with your girlfriend in front of other people.

I tried my hardest to stare at the T.V. and not give in to crying. Yeah, I know it’s weird but when I get mad, I cry. I just recently found that out, and I didn’t really like it. The aching in my throat was growing and it was getting harder to resist. That is, until Nick kissed my cheek. I tunred to him, shocked.

“What was that for?” I asked, laughing a little bit.

“To cheer you up, you look sorta pissed.” He told me in my ear I’m guessing because I was talking loudly.

“What happened?” Joe asked, like he actually cared. I resisted the urge to give him an eye roll. Instead I told him nothing and turned back to Nick and the television.

“Hey, Jamie. Wanna go play Guitar Hero downstairs?” Nick asked.

“Sure. I’ve never played before.” I shrugged and got up.

“Wait I thought we were watching movies together you guys.” Joe said, looking at the both of us.

“Eh, you two can. We’re gonna play Guitar Hero.” I told him.

“Well I wanna play.” He said but Nick stopped him this time.

“No, it’s cool. If it’s all three of us I don’t Jamie will get it all the way watching us play. You and Camilla just enjoy yourselves.” Joe looked a little let down by the words.

“C’mon Nick let’s go!” I grabbed his hand and we sprinted down the stairs laughing.

I really don’t know how long we were playing, but I do know that I was horrible at this game. And when they started booing me, that didn’t help at all.

“You suck.” Nick laughed and I shoved him playfully, hoping to mess him up. Nice try.

Just then, Joe and…her came down the stairs. I scoffed and waited for Nick to pick a new song while they went into the kitchen.

“Oh!” I exclaimed, smiling brightly with a new idea, “Nick, how about if I win we go for ice cream?”

“But you’ll never win!” He laughed and I joined in, knowing Joe could hear us from the kitchen.

“Well let’s just go then. No point in waiting.” I’m sure Nick was aaware of my suddenly chipper demeanor and I just slightly nodded my head, letting him now his assumption was right. Everyone knew Joe couldn’t resist ice cream.

“In a little bit, kay? Let’s do like 3 more rounds.” He reasoned, sticking out his hand. “Deal?”

“Deal.”

“I want to go get ice cream, too!” Joe whined, running in the room.

“We aren’t going right now.” Nick told his brother and Joe’s face fell before brightening up again. Camilla also joined us in the living room, putting her hand on Joe’s waist.

“Well can you guys tell us when you’re going? Then we can all go.”

“Sure.” I smiled, and let my eyes dash to Nick quickly. “Give it fifteen minutes.”

“Kay!” He yelled before taking her hand and going back upstairs.

“You aren’t planning on telling them, are you?” Nick asked and I couldn’t help my evil smile.

“No.”

“Well there’s no point in waiting. Let’s go.” He grabbed his keys and we slipped on our shoes before getting in his car and driving off. Okay, so call me spiteful, Joe deserved it for being a bad friend.

--

We got back to the house and I suggested we eat our ice cream up in Nick’s room. He looked at me in a fake disapproving gaze before laughing and leading the way up the stairs. The guy knew me too well to fake.

“I thought you were going to call us when you went?” Joe looked like a kid who lost his puppy.

“Well, my bad. We forgot.” I shrugged.

“Joe it’s fine,” Camilla rubbed his shoulder, “We can go if you really want some.”

“We’ll see you guys later.” I waved and followed Nick to his room.

“Damn, people said you were a diva. Yeah right, more like a spiteful media whore.” He laughed.

“Oh shut up. C’mon, you can’t tell me he wasn’t being annoying. He wasn’t even worried about the pizza anymore.”

“Of course he was; he’s Joe. Just a good actor.” Nick shrugged, scooping up some cotton candy from his cup. I narrowed my eyes at his statement. The way he said it, it was like there was another meaning. But what?

“So what’s up for tomorrow?” Nick asked and I thought back to what Margaret said. I wasn’t allowed to hang out with Joe. Heh, that was do able. But nothing was said about hanging out with Nick.

“Dunno. I’m not allowed to hang out with Joe. Margaret orders but I’m sure Joe already knows that. He has to hang out with Camilla. So, I don’t know.”

“How about me and you go shopping?” He asked optimistically, “We can invite a few other people, too.”

“Mmmm, like who?”

“I don’t know. Michael and freakin’ Ashley Tisdale. I don’t know.”

“Michael who?”

“From Honor Society.”

“Oh cool. Okay. And I’ll briiinngg” I dragged out as I thought, “Hm. Debby since I haven’t seen her.”

“Yep. Very random group. It’ll confuse the hell out of the media.”

“Nice, Jonas. No wonder you do all the talking.” I said and he blushed.

“Well I think I’m calling it a night. I’ll call Debby tonight and you call Michael.”

“Kay. See you in the morning.” He waved and I left his room, going to mine. Guess Joe was wrong about movie night.

--

Turns out, Michael Bruno was a good guy. And was pretty funny, too. Not Joe type funny, but good enough to make all four of us have a goodtime.

We were waiting for our smoothies to be ready in the Food Court while we talked about what everyone was doing.

“After the movie I’m actually going to start recording in the studio.” I announced.

“Really?”

“Mhm. And I’ll be filming on the ‘Just Gotta Make It’ set. New season.”

“J.O.N.A.S. is starting again after the movie, too.” Nick shrugged.

“I’m not.” Debby smiled, “We just finished the latest season. It’s break time for us.”

“And we’re touring!” Michael yelled out, causing those who weren’t already staring at us to look now. I guess you could say Nick Jonas and Jamie Madden weren’t very…conspicuous. Very blunt with the company of Debby and Michael. But luckily we didn’t get swarmed. Hollywood people saw stars all the time so they’d probably catch a picture with us next time around. Funny how that worked.

Our smoothies were done and we sat at a table to drink them before we left.
“So what happened to Joe?” Michael asked.

“Eh. He’s with Camilla today.”

“He missed her, huh?”

“That too. But apparently we’re giving the image that me and him are together, so he has to be with his girlfriend all day and I have to be with friends.”

“Well are you together?” Michael asked and I shrieked ‘No!’ trying to stay quiet.

“My bad!” he retreated, raising her arms in defense.

“Seriously, I would’ve thought you two were together. You’d make a cute couple.”

“Well, we’re just friends.”

“I’ve heard that one before” Debby sang with a smile and I rolled my eyes looking at Nick.

“You aren’t going to back me up?”

“Not if I think the same thing.” I don’t even have a word for this. It’s-It’s something more than annoying but sort of interesting. I mean, it’s one thing for the magazines to say so, but to hear people you know say it? M

My stomach was fluttering at the thought and I ignored them, pretending not to know what they obviously meant.
