“Lee!” I screamed, running up to him. Yeah he did look pretty bad, but my boy can FIGHT! I wrapped my arms around him, hugging him.
“Hello Carter” He laughed, hugging me back.
I pulled away and inspected him “You look awful”
“I think your boyfriend took the worst” Lee said, motioning to Cody who stood behind me
I didn’t look back “Still…”
“I’m fine Carter, really” Lee said, wrapping an arm around me. We turned so that we could walk away without looking at Cody. I wrapped an arm around his waist as we walked like that to the breakfast place.
We sat at a booth. I sat across from him and picked up the menu that was set in front of me. Suddenly, I felt someone sit next to me.
At the same time, Lee and I looked at the person who dared to sit next to me.
Cody smiled at us innocently
“What are you doing here?” I growled
“Uh…sitting. Duh” he said
“Leave”
“Nah”
“Look, man, I don’ think she wants you to be around her” Lee said
“But I think that I do”
“Since when” I snapped
“Since I can’t find anyone good to bang” He said
“Then go get that bitch who clawed me yesterday”
“I already did her. She’s amazing” He said, smiling at the memory
“OOOOOOKAYY!” I said loudly “New topic at this table”
“Or an old one” Lee said “Cody you need to leave”
“And who are you to tell me that?” Cody snapped
“Who do you think?”
I banged my head on the table, trying to block out their fighting.
Once it got silent, I stopped.
Cody and Lee were looking at me weirdly
I fixed my hair and sighed, looking at the menu
They remained frozen.
“I think I’m going to get the ham and cheese omelet” I said, pointing to the picture
They were still quiet
“What?”
Cody spoke first “What was THAT?”
“That’s what I always feel like doing when you talk” I snapped
“Carter, don’t do that” Lee murmured softly “You could hurt your brain”
“Speaking to HIM hurts my brain” I said, nodding in Cody’s direction
“HEY!” Cody said while Lee chuckled
“Come on Lee. I think I’ve lost my appetite” I muttered, trying to get past Cody. He refused to move.
“Hello?” I asked
“Yeah?” Cody smirked up at me
“Move”
“What’s the magic word?”
“Please” I hissed
“Alright” He smiled up at me as I walked around him. Lee wrapped an arm around my shoulders as we walked away. I flipped Cody off behind my back. I knew he saw.

“These islands are all the same” I frowned as we passed shops of the same stuff on the first two islands. Today we hit two. This was our second island.
“You can say that again” Lee smiled
“These islands are all the same” I repeated
Lee sighed at the setting sun.
“Come on. I want to get a drink before we leave” I said, pulling him to the little restaurant at the corner.
Lee held my hand as we walked past the shops with beads hanging in the windows and postcard stands and Hawaiian shirts.
I walked up the counter, pulling out my wallet, while saying “One coke”
“Two cokes” I heard Lee say, his hand already on the counter over top some green stuff
“No, I have it” I muttered, pulling out a ten
“It’s fine, Carter. It’s on me” He smiled down at me
“But you’ve paid for everything” I said “Let me pay for one thing”
The lady stared confused at who the except the money from. Lee motioned for her to take his and she did that.
“You stink” I smiled
“Do I now?” He smirked
“Yup” I pecked his lips and grabbed our drinks. We walked out to one of the outside tables. A lot of them were full. Lee and I got one at the edge of the building.
I set the bags on the table, next to the drinks. I put a straw in mine and quickly down half of my coke.
“Thirsty?” Lee chuckled
I rolled my eyes “You have no idea”
He laughed
It was silent for a few minutes. But a comfortable silent as we watched the sun sink lower in the sink.
“Can you believe we only have two more days?” Lee said
“I know” I nodded “I can’t wait for tomorrow”
“Why?” He asked, knowing full well because I haven’t been able to shut up about it since I found out today
“Cause we get to swim with the stingrays next time” I grinned
“Are you nervous?”
“Just a little” I said, pinching my index finger and thumb so that there was only a few centimeters between them.
“Don’t worry, I’ll protect you from any harm”
“I know you will” I smiled, sipping out of my cup
“Good” He grinned.
The horn blew for the first time. Almost everyone at the tables stood up and started to leave. Lee and I followed them as we made our way to the ship.
I leaned my head against his shoulder as we walked up and onto the ship.
It was at the second blow horn did I realize that we had our hands in each other’s back pockets.
Gawd, how cheesey!
I giggled, pulling my hand out of his and covering my face
“What?” He asked
“We’re so cheesey” I giggled
“That’s ok.” Lee smiled
I giggled once more and then calmed down.
“That was fun” Lee said
I nodded “Mhm”
